AWE Learning Quarterly Newsletter – September 2020
A Note from Our CEO & President, Deborah B. Sorgi, Ed.D.
Dear Friends,
I hope you enjoyed your summer and are ready for the cool days of fall. Summer brought many challenges, as will the next few months. I commend you for continuing to do what you do best – offer your patrons the tools and resources they need to grow their literacy skills while in the library or at home. Like many of you, our staff is working from home, yet staying connected via technology. We are doing our best to service your requests and equipment; don’t hesitate to reach out if you need our help. As we continue to navigate this new normal, please know that we value your partnership and that we are committed to servicing you in the many days and years ahead. Keep in touch – we value your questions, comments, and feedback. Thank you for all you do. Be safe; be well. Kind regards, |

Inaugural Summer Reading Program Is In the Books
This Summer, AWE Learning partnered with Literacy Access Fund (LAF) to bring monthly storytime to young learners via Zoom! LAF is a 501(c)3 non-profit, whose mission is to make literacy a possibility for every child in every community.
We enjoyed hearing readalouds from librarians! In July we heard Life, written by Cynthia Rylant and illustrated by Brendan Wenzel, and in August we heard There Might Be Lobsters, written by Carolyn Crimi and illustrated by Laurel Molk. Missed Storytime? Click here to check out our Storytime Activity Guide! |
